SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah will send two swimmers to the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn., on Mar. 8-10. Utah's Amber Walter and Alison McInturff each qualified for the Championships with automatic qualifying times at the 2007 Mountain West Conference Championships.

Walter swept her individual events at the conference championships with a 50.09 NCAA-B qualifying mark in the 100 free. She also won the 50 free and the 100 breast in the meet.

Also at the MWC Championships, McInturff won the women's 200 free for the second year with a 1:47.78 clocking, which qualified her for the NCAA Championships.

The Ute women completed a perfect 10-0 season with a second-place finish at the MWC Championships with 618 points.

The Utah diving team had three divers compete in the NCAA Zone E Diving Regionals. Kelsey Patterson, Andrew Jones and Damien Brown each competed over the weekend at the event, despite strong performances, none of them qualified for the NCAA Championships.
