COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - BYU junior Gary Tan and Air Force freshman Brady Lindberg have been named Mountain West Conference men's swimmer and diver of the week, respectively.

Tan, a native of Maryland Park, Singapore, helped the Cougars to a dual meet victory over Utah, winning two individual titles in events he doesn't usually compete in and contributing to a relay victory. In the 400-yard individual medley, Tan set a pool-record with a time of 3:59.82, while winning the 500-yard freestyle in 4:38.32, five seconds ahead of the runner-up. Tan completed the meet by helping the Cougars 200-yard medley relay team to victory, posting a time of 1:32.46.

Lindberg, a product of San Antonio, Texas, swept the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events at the Air Force Diving Invitational, Feb. 1-2. In the 1-meter, he posted a score of 259.00, and his score of 383.00 topped the field in the 3-meter.

All Mountain West Conference schools return to the pool on Feb. 27 at the Mountain West Conference Swimming and Diving Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla.
