San Diego State's Storey And Air Force's Law Earn MWC Women's Swimmer And Diver of the Week Honors Law garners honor for the fifth time this season.

Colorado Springs, Colo. - San Diego State freshman Megan Storey and Air Force Academy sophomore Sarah Law have been selected as the Mountain West Conference Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively. In the Aztec's win over Pepperdine Jan. 24, Storey earned a pair of first-place finishes in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:10.53 and in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:28.43. Against UNLV Jan. 27, she posted faster times in both the 500- and 1000-yard freestyle with times of 5:08.89 and 10:24.18, respectively, to earn a pair of second-place finishes. The Edmonds, Wash., native has won the 500 free in five of her last six competitions and currently holds the top spot in the conference in the 1000 free. Storey is a first time swimmer of the week award winner and the only Aztec to earn the honor this season. Law continues to dominate the board, earning diver of the week honors for the fifth time this season. In dual matches against Denver, Jan. 24, and UNLV, Jan. 27, Law swept both the 1- and 3-meter springboard competitions. At Denver, she earned a score of 262.95 on the 1-meter and 270.68 on the 3-meter. Three days later the Parker, Colo., native posted a score of 230.40 on the 1-meter and 272.70 on the 3-meter board. Up Next: Air Force hosts Colorado State, New Mexico, UNLV and Wyoming at the Air Force Diving Invitational, Feb. 2-3, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Other MWC schools in action this week: Wyoming hosts Northern Arizona Feb. 2 and Colorado State faces Northern Arizona at home, Feb. 3.
