COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - UNLV senior Carmen Robb and Nevada junior Grace Huang have earned Mountain West Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors, respectively, for meets contested from Jan. 16-21, 2013. It is the third MW honor for Huang this season. For Robb, it is the first Conference weekly accolade of the season and the second of her career. Robb, a native of East Wenatchee, Wash., won two individual events and swam on a winning relay team to lead the Rebels to victory over UC Santa Barbara (155-145) on Jan. 19. Robb won the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke races. The league leader in the 100, Robb swam the event in a time of 54.47, while completing the 200 in 1:59.30. She swam the lead leg of the 200-yard medley relay, assisting in a team time of 1:42.43. Robb also took third in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 56.11. Huang, who hails from Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, captured first place in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events in the Wolf Pack's narrow loss (160-140) to San Jose State. The Nevada divers won all but seven of the available points in the Jan. 19 meet. Huang recorded a 302.47 on the 1-meter board and a 343.80 on the 3-meter board. Her 3-meter mark is tied for second in the MW this season. Both marks qualify Huang for the NCAA Diving Zones in March.
