COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah sophomore Alison McInturff and New Mexico's Becca Barras have been named Mountain West Conference Men's Swimmer and Women's Diver of the Week, respectively. McInturff is a first-time award winner, while Barras is a 12-time recipient.

McInturff, a Pocatello, Idaho, product, won a pair of individual freestyle events vs. Colorado State and had another individual victory against New Mexico, helping the first-place Utes (6-0 overall, 4-0 MWC) to a 2-0 record last week. In Utah's 157-85 win over the Rams, she won the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle events in 53.15 and 1:53.95, respectively. McInturff followed with a time of 1:53.12 in the 200 freestyle, helping the Utes to a 167-128 victory over the Lobos.

Barras, a native of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, remained undefeated in dual matches this season with her sweep vs. Utah last week. She notched a personal and MWC season-best 280.95 in the 1-meter board and scored 309.60 in the 3-meter. Barras also holds the top point total in the 3-meter board, scoring 484.15 at the Texas Invitational earlier this season.
