COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Wyoming’s Damian Storz and BYU’s Devan Porter were named the Mountain West Conference’s Men’s Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively, for their performances last weekend.

Storz, a freshman from Woodlands, Calif., won four different events in a pair of dual meets with conference rivals Utah and BYU. Against the Utes, Jan. 14., he captured first-place finishes in the 400 IM with a time of 4:09.52 and in the 500 Free with a time of 4:46.33. The following day against BYU, Storz won the 1000 Free with a time of 10:03.83, as well as the 200 Fly with a time of 1:54.98. Storz currently holds the conference’s best time in the 400 IM which he set on Dec. 3.

A senior from Mesa, Ariz., Porter collected a pair of first-place finishes in the 3-Meter competitions against Air Force and Wyoming, Jan. 14-15. Hampered by injuries much of the year, Porter outscored teammate Scott Randall against the Falcons and the following day, defeated Wyoming’s Oscar Delgado who currently holds the conference’s season-high score set on Nov. 12.
