COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - BYU juniors Cortnee Adams and Kelli Einfeldt have been named Mountain West Conference women's swimmer and diver of the week, respectively.

Adams, a native of Appleton, Wis., turned in two individual victories and helped the Cougars to two relay victories last weekend. On Jan. 11 against Washington, she won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.06 and was a part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that claimed a victory in 1:37.26. Against Oregon State on Jan. 12, Adams had a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:53.01 and helped the 400-yard freestyle relay squad to a first-place finish in 3:35.16.

Einfeldt claimed her third diver of the week award of the season and fifth of her career with her performance at the Arizona Diving Invitational. Against some of the top divers in the nation, Einfeldt won the 3-meter springboard event, with a score of 302.65 and finished third in the 1-meter springboard after posting 249.05 points.

The Cougar women return to the pool on Friday, Jan. 18 with a dual meet against Colorado State in Provo.

This week in the MWC: The Air Force Academy plays host to New Mexico and Wyoming on Sunday, Jan. 20 and San Diego State and UNLV will be in Honolulu, Hawaii to take on the Warriors in a double-dual on Friday, Jan. 18.
