Rams Host Utah in MWC Showdown
The Colorado State women's swimming and diving team (5-1) will jump back into Mountain West competition with its fifth MWC dual meet of the year when they host Utah at the Moby Pool at 5 p.m. on Thursday. The Utes enter the meet with a 4-0 dual record overall and a 2-0 MWC mark. The Utes, who have never defeated the Rams in Fort Collins, are coming off a third-place finish in the Indiana Invitational where freshman Michelle Blair set a new school record in the 200 fly at 2:02.42. Utah's wins in conference this season have been over San Diego State and UNLV.

Ram Recap: Matt Gribble Invitational
The Colorado State swimming and diving team kicked off the 2005 calendar year at the Matt Gribble Invitational at the University of Miami in a non-scored meet. Individually, the Rams finished with eight swimmers garnering top 10 finishes headlined by a quartet of Rams in the 200 breaststroke. Alyson Aggers posted the Rams' highest finish of the meet in the event with a fifth-place time of 2:25.79 followed by Sara Servold in eighth (2:27.78), Lyndsey McCaslin in ninth (2:28.64) and Amber Canterbury in 10th (2:29.17). In the 100 backstroke, Amy Abrams finished seventh (59.14) while McCaslin (1:06.35) and Aggers (1:06.53) finished sixth and seventh in the 100 breaststroke, respectively. Servold captured a sixth-place finish in the 200 butterfly (2:06.26) to round out CSU swimmers in the top 10. CSU's 400 medley relay team of Brette Winegarner, Aggers, Tara Staley and Rachel Hinze captured the Rams' highest relay finish with a fifth-place swim in a time of 4:10.10.

The Rams remain at home to host Mountain West rival BYU in Moby Pool on Saturday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. Following CSU's tilt with BYU, the Rams close out their 2005 home slate with a dual matchup with Wyoming on Friday, Feb. 4.
