ATHENS, Ga. - Juniors Amber Walter and Kelsey Patterson competed in the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships March 16-18 at the Gabrielsen Natatorium on the University of Georgia's campus. Both Walter and Patterson qualified for three events at the meet. Also, Patterson is the first female diver from Utah to qualify for the championship meet.

Walter finished 36th in the 50 free with a time of 23.14 seconds. In the 100 breast, the Kalispell, Mont., native posted a time of 1 minute, 02.70 seconds to finish 22nd in the event. Walter finished 67th in the 100 free with a time of 52.17 seconds.

Patterson qualified for all three diving events, the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform. In the 1-meter, the Edmonton, Alberta native posted 245.40 points to finish 30th overall. Patterson tallied 289.35 points in the 3-meter to finish 18th in the event. In the platform event, the junior scored 205.10 points to finish 21st overall.
