OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -
Utah diver, Sterling Richards completed day one of the NCAA Zone Qualifying on Thursday. Richards finished the 3-meter diving finals with a score of 467.85, placing him eighth overall.
Richards is the only Ute competing at the zone qualifiers. His eighth-place finish was the second best score from any Mountain West Conference diver, behind BYU's Justin Beardall. The men's diving will continue March 12-13 with both the 1-meter and platform diving left to complete.
