SERIES NOTES
After dropping meetings in 2003 and 2004, Colorado State defeated Utah last year in Fort Collins, 21-17. Dating back to 1902, this series has been dominated by streaks with the latest being Utah's four-game win streak from 1991-1994, followed by a CSU five-game streak through 2002.

The last time these teams met in 2002, seventh-ranked Notre Dame defeated 15th-ranked Air Force, 21-14, in front of a record crowd of 56,409 at Falcon Stadium. The Fighting Irish have taken the last 10 of 11 meetings, with the exception being Air Force's overtime win in 1996 in South Bend (20-17). In the last three meetings, the margin of victory has been seven points or less.

TCU won last year's game in Fort Worth, 49-28. Before the 2005 meeting, New Mexico had taken the last two contests in 1996 and 1997. Overall, the Lobos hold a 2-1 advantage over the Horned Frogs in Albuquerque.

San Diego State had taken the previous three meetings against UNLV prior to the Rebels' 13-10 victory in Las Vegas last year. The winning team in this series has scored less than 20 points only twice, in 2005 and then in 2003's 7-0 Aztec victory, which tied as the lowest-scoring game in UNLV history. In San Diego, the Aztecs hold a 5-3 advantage, including taking the last two meetings.
