SERIES NOTES
BYU leads the all-time series, but UNLV holds a 3-3 record in Provo and has won two straight at LaVell Edwards Stadium. BYU outscored UNLV 130-42 in the first three games as conference rivals. The Rebels then lost two games to BYU by a total of seven points in 2000-01 before winning 24-3 in 2002. Outside of last years blowout win by BYU, four of the last six games have been decided by a touchdown or less.

TCU has won each of the five meetings with Army by an average of 17.8 points. In the last meeting at West Point in 2004, the Horned Frogs came back from a 17-0 deficit at the end of the first quarter to win, 21-17.

The winner of Saturday's Border War earns possession of the Bronze Boot trophy, initiated in 1968 by ROTC detachments of both schools. The Bronze Boot was worn in combat in Vietnam by a CSU graduate. The day before the game, CSU's ROTC unit will run the game ball to the state border in one-mile intervals by participants. Wyoming's ROTC unit takes the ball at the border, and runs it to the stadium for presentation to the game officials before kickoff. The Rams have a 6-1 series advantage over the Cowboys in MWC play and are 22-20-4 alltime in Laramie. The Pokes won the last meeting at home in 2003, 35-28.

San Diego State has won three of the last four meetings with Air Force. The Falcons prevailed last year at home 41-29. Nine of the last 13 meetings in the series have been decided by a touchdown or less.
