COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference has formed a partnership with Jim Arthur of KVOR Radio, Colorado Springs, Colo., to produce a weekly radio show, dubbed "This Week in the Mountain West."

With clearances throughout the Mountain West region, the radio show will be broadcast in Albuquerque, Cheyenne, Colorado Springs, Denver, Fort Collins, Laramie, Las Vegas, Provo and San Diego.

"This Week in the Mountain West" will showcase football, featuring interviews with coaches, student-athletes and special guests, and provide the latest news and notes from around the conference. The show runs through the football season, concluding with a bowl game wrap-up and basketball preview in early January.

The first show, available for broadcast Thursday, Aug. 30, will include highlights from the BYU vs. Tulane matchup and a preview of the upcoming season. Week one guests include MWC Commissioner Craig Thompson, Air Force head football coach Fisher DeBerry, and Colorado State head football coach Sonny Lubick.

Arthur brings 19 years of radio experience to the Mountain West radio show. A native of Denver, Colo., Arthur is the play-by-play announcer for Air Force men's basketball and coordinator of all Falcon sports radio broadcasts.

Parties interested in broadcasting the show should contact Dan Butterly at the Mountain West Conference (719-488-4053) or Jim Arthur at KVOR (719-593-2700).
