VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
ASSISTANT ATHLETIC DIRECTOR OF TICKET OPERATIONS ATHLETICS Announcement No. 2628 This position is in the Management Personnel Plan and earns management benefits. SALARY: Commensurate with background, education, and experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent will be responsible for: the management and administration of all areas of athletic ticket office operations for all sports including ticket sales, the development of ticket price structure, season ticket campaigning, ticket printing, accounting, auditing, and priority seating; and coordination of ticket arrangements for athletic events with other universities. Ongoing duties include personnel supervision, training, and scheduling; interacting with ticket holders, members of the SDSU community, and the general public; and report generation/order entry. The incumbent will also have extensive interaction with fund raising and marketing/promotion areas of Athletics and the possibility of travel duties with one or more teams. The successful candidate will maintain and update all ticket office procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or combination of experience and education which provides the required knowledge and abilities. Ticketing experience at a Division I level university with Football and Basketball and a broad-based athletic program. Must have experience with personnel management/supervision; thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Knowledge of computerized ticketing industry trends as they relate to product development and internet sales. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree. Experience in Paciolan ticketing and Ticket-master systems a strong plus.
