COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Mountain West Conference commissioner Craig Thompson announces the promotion of Carolayne Henry to Associate Commissioner for Compliance/Senior Woman Administrator.

Henry is an original staff member of the MWC, serving as the Assistant Commissioner for Compliance/SWA for the past two years.

The Battle Creek, Mich., native oversees the areas of NCAA and Mountain West Conference compliance and student-athlete eligibility for the MWC and its eight-member institutions. She also serves as staff liaison to various MWC committees in addition to working with the conference's senior woman administrators and faculty athletics representatives.

Henry is a member of the NCAA Academics/Eligibility Compliance Cabinet, the Division I Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee and the Division I Women's Basketball Issues Committee.

A member of the University of Michigan women's basketball team from 1982-86, Henry graduated with her B.A. in political science from Michigan in 1986. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate in 1990 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
