COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Anthony Archbald has been named Assistant Director of Compliance for the Mountain West Conference.

A member of the New York State Bar, Archbald earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Boston College (1997) before earning his juris doctorate from Tulane Law School (2000). He spent nearly two years in professional law practice in New York and recently completed an appointment with the Brown University athletic department where he assisted with compliance issues.

Archbald specialized in sports law while at Tulane and was active in a variety of activities, including the Tulane Law School Appellate Clinic, Sport Law Society and Business Law Society. At Brown University, he conducted NCAA and Ivy League orientation for incoming student-athletes, proctored the coaches' NCAA recruiting certification examination, drafted a monthly Brown Bears compliance newsletter and assisted with the construction of the Brown compliance website.

Archbald joins MWC Associate Commissioner for Compliance Carolayne Henry to handle conference-wide compliance issues.
