COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A total of 560 student-athletes were named Mountain West Conference Scholar Athletes for 2006-07. To be eligible for selection student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition for their athletic team.

BYU led the way with 141 student-athletes honored, followed by New Mexico (81), Utah (75) and Air Force (59), Wyoming (54), Colorado State (52), TCU (39), San Diego State (30) and UNLV (29).
