COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A total of 536 student-athletes were named Mountain West Conference Scholar Athletes for 2005-06. To be eligible for selection student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition for their athletic team. BYU led the way with 135 student-athletes honored, followed by New Mexico (80), Utah (54) and Wyoming (54), TCU (53), Air Force (52), Colorado State (45), UNLV (35) and San Diego State (28). |
