PARK CITY, Utah - The MWC Board of Directors today continued meetings at the Goldener Hirsch Inn with an extensive analysis of a proposed MWC-ESPN television agreement. The Board also discussed a number of strategic and philosophical issues related to the current sports television environment.

"The Board of Directors is very engaged in the business of the Mountain West Conference," said BYU President and Board chair Dr. Cecil O. Samuelson. "We are particularly interested in framing the parameters of our future television partnership."

In other business, the Board received an update on current BCS developments and reviewed the numerous bowl options under consideration by the MWC for 2005 and beyond. Today's agenda also including discussion of NCAA issues, including the Incentives/Disincentives component of the Academic Reform effort, the progress of the Recruiting Task Force and the legislative calendar. The Board expressed a desire to have the institutional CEOs' involvement in establishing voting positions effectively maximized.
