On April 21, the UNLV Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, the Jean Nidetch Women's Center and the UNLV Sexual Assault Prevention Education Program sponsored the "Men Rebelling Against Violence" event on campus as a derivative of the national campaign entitled "Men Can Stop Rape." During the day, coaches, student-athletes, staff and administrators handed out information about domestic violence & abuse, rape and victim advocacy with the goal to get men and women working together as allies in the crusade against violence.
