The Mountain West Conference seeks qualified applicants for its Assistant Director of Communications/Multimedia Coordinator position. The Mountain West Conference is an NCAA Division I-A athletic conference with nine member institutions. The Conference oversees the competition and administration for 19 men's and women's sports.

Responsibilities:
Member of the full-time staff charged with the day-to-day operations of the conference and, in particular, the athletic communications office. Primary responsibility will be the development, maintenance and updating of the Conference website. This individual also will build and maintain a strong relationship with CSTV Online staff members in Carlsbad, Calif., and New York City; work hand-in-hand with the CSTV Online managing editor and editors of the seven (plus two non-CSTV members) MWC institutional websites for consistency between league and school websites. Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: serve as the primary contact for sports as assigned; assist publications/design coordinator with production of media guides and press releases.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in public relations, technical journalism or related field. Two years of full-time experience in Sports Information or website design field; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a high-paced work and event environment; experience that demonstrates the ability to manage a high work load with frequent interruptions; ability to work well with a variety of constituents, including student-athletes, coaches, University and Athletic administrators, and members of the media. Weekend and evening hours required, and some travel may also be expected.

Preferred Qualifications:
Intermediate proficiency in HTML code and basic knowledge of other web-based languages; the ability to build and manipulate iframes, tables, position graphics; knowledge of CSS, Netitor and common file transfer protocol software; ability to build web-quality graphics in Photoshop and related Adobe products; knowledge of QuarkXPress, Excel and Microsoft Word.

Compensation:
Full-time appointment with salary commensurate with experience. A benefits package including both medical and dental insurance, and an employer-paid retirement program.
