  • Chat with Hathaway

On Tuesday, April 23, Colorado State University Director of Athletics Jeffrey Hathaway drops by ESPN.com's moderated chat room presented by TheMWC.com to take questions on Rams athletics and more.

For two decades, Hathaway prepared himself to become a director of athletics. He focused on every experience possible, knowledge that would lead him to become a leader in the world of intercollegiate athletics.

When opportunity and Colorado State University came calling, Hathaway, 42, answered. He was ready and willing to assume the duties associated with the ever-changing and always challenging world of NCAA Division IA athletics.

Hathaway was appointed the the school's 12th director of athletics by school president Albert Yates on Aug. 15, 2001. He came to Colorado State after 11 years at the University of Connecticut, where he oversaw day-to-day operations of the athletic department. Prior to that, he served as the assistant athletics director at the University of Maryland from 1982-90, where he coordinated the department's marketing and communications activities.

The Maryland native currently serves on various Mountain West Conference committees: Academics Initiative and Integration, Ethics and Sportsmanship, Legislative/Interpretation, and the Joint Council Executive Committee.

Hathaway won't be stopping by until 11 a.m. MDT on Tuesday, April 23, but feel free to leave your questions now and we will save them for his arrival.
