TCU is accepting applications for position of Assistant Director of
Athletics Compliance for Education.
The job responsibilities include: Coordinating athletics compliance
rules education program by conducting rules meetings, initiating
orientation programs, disseminating information, initiating and
preparing topics for educational meetings, preparing review sessions for
departmental exams, maintaining departmental policies and procedures
manual and speaking to relative constituencies; Providing
recommendations by researching, documenting, disseminating and
communicating proper responses to questions and regulations as they
relate to the University, NCAA and Conference rules; Maintaining the
implementation of compliance related matters by assisting with
monitoring student-athlete employment, camps and clinics,
student-athlete awards, off-campus housing, and summer leagues;
Disseminating electronic athletics compliance information by producing a
University Compliance Newsletter, a Boosters Guide to NCAA Rules and
maintaining athletics compliance website; Coordinating university,
conference and NCAA policies and procedures by conducting research and
analyzing information to determine university's position concerning NCAA
legislation; and making recommendations to administration for changes
and/or improvements when necessary.
A bachelor's degree; demonstrated experience monitoring athletics
program(s) or performing related activities; Microsoft Windows 2000
navigation skills; skilled in some or all components of Microsoft
office; an ability to learn all components of departmental software;
ability to establish and maintain data bases; ability to manage multiple
projects and meet deadlines; ability to communicate complex information
verbally and in writing; ability to review and validate information;
ability to work independently; ability to design and write queries or
reports; knowledge of organization techniques; knowledge of problem
solving techniques; knowledge of customer service techniques; knowledge
of basic research techniques are required.
