HEAD COACH - WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
ATHLETICS

This position is in the Management Personnel Plan and earns management benefits.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience, knowledge and skill level.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general supervision of the Director of Athletics, performs a variety of coaching functions related to the sport of basketball in the Department of Athletics at San Diego State University. These functions include, but are not limited to: staffing; recruiting; coaching; student-athlete advising and development; teaching; staging; serving on campus committees; community contacts; fund-raising and marketing of program; being a good citizen in the community and involved in public services; monitoring budget; and being committed to academic success. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting top student-athletes and developing a highly competitive, Division I women's basketball program.

QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires graduation from a four-year college or university in a job-related field. Advanced degree in a related field preferred. Collegiate Division I experience required. Must have demonstrated success as a coach at the collegiate level. Experience and comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of major college women's basketball and NCAA rules and regulations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships on campus and in the community. Ability to organize/motivate student-athletes to maximum performance levels, both athletically and academically, and ensures they follow NCAA, conference, and SDSU rules and regulations.
