The Mountain West Conference and TCU will hold a 12:30 p.m. MT press conference on Friday, January 30, in the John Justin Athletic Center Special Events Room to address TCU's future conference affiliation.

The Mountain West Conference announced Thursday that a membership invitation has been extended to TCU to become the MWC's ninth member, beginning with the 2005-06 academic year.

Mountain West commissioner Craig Thompson will make a formal announcement at the press conference on Friday on the TCU campus, pending affirmation by the TCU Board of Trustees.

The press conference will be televised live on the Internet at www.gofrogstv.com, while an audio feed will be available live on KTCU (88.7 FM) and on www.gofrogs.com.

Following the announcement, Commissioner Thompson will conduct a media teleconference starting at 1:30 p.m. MT. The teleconference can be heard live on this website by accessing the front page.
