The 2006 Mountain West Conference Men's Golf Championship will be held April 27-29 at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon. This will mark the sixth straight year that the event will be held at the resort. The men will once again play the par 72, 7,630-yard Crosswater Course. Situated on 600 magnificently scenic acres of woodlands and carefully preserved wetlands,Crosswater is threaded by the gently flowing Deschutes and Little Deschutes Rivers.
New Mexico fired a 10-over par 298 in Saturday's final round for a one-over 865 total to capture the 2006 Mountain West Conference Men's Golf at the Crosswater Club in Sunriver, Ore. The Lobos captured their fourth straight conference title and were led by senior Jay Choi, who carded a final-round 73 for a one-under par 215 to earn medalist honors.
With the win, New Mexico receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
